SMART’s new Technology Upgrade Program for Education enables schools and districts to standardize on SMART products by upgrading technology to SMART brand products.

Benefits to SMART customers?
This program allows customers who have previously invested in other technology brands to upgrade these products to SMART brand products at affordable pricing to ensure a consistent software and hardware experience across their school/district. Benefits of standardizing on the SMART brand include reduced training requirements and improved sharing of resources and materials.

Eligibility
Customers can upgrade products to SMART brand products in the following categories:

• Interactive Whiteboards
• Interactive Response Systems
• Wireless Slates
• Interactive Pen Displays

Upgraded products must belong to the same categories as the replacement SMART products.

Notebook software stand-alone license
The Notebook software stand-alone license will still be available for customers who choose to operate in a mixed hardware environment (eg. multiple interactive whiteboard brands).

SMART will support any problems customers may have with SMART's hardware or software. However, it is important that customers recognize where technical issues with the SMART product end and issues with products of other brands begin. Technical issues with these other products, such as interactive whiteboard hardware, orientation, service and pen, must be directed to the appropriate manufacturer.
